Release readiness for Jira

Release readiness in Jira, backed by current test evidence

A pass from the previous build is history, not proof. Nexus brings release scope, environment currency, coverage and exceptions together before a person records go or no-go.

How it works

Answer the questions behind the release decision

Release confidence is not a single pass-rate percentage. Teams need to know whether the intended scope is covered, whether evidence is current for the target environment and whether accepted exceptions are visible.

01

Define release scope from Jira versions, sprints, epics or JQL.

02

Check requirement coverage and execution outcomes.

03

Identify evidence made stale by a newer deployment or invalidating event.

04

Review open defects, flaky tests and configured gate exceptions.

05

Record the decision, approver and rationale.

Implementation guide

Keep automation and judgement separate

Nexus can calculate readiness evidence and evaluate configured gates. It does not silently approve a release. The accountable person reviews the context and records the decision.

01

Automated rules surface attention items.

02

Manual and automated results contribute to the same view.

03

Exceptions retain their reason and audit history.

04

Historical decisions remain available for review.

Questions buyers ask

Frequently asked questions

Does Nexus automatically approve a release?

No. Nexus assembles evidence and evaluates configured gates, but a person records the final decision.

What makes older evidence stale?

A newer build or another configured invalidating event can make an earlier result no longer current for an environment. The historical result remains visible.

Is release management available in every edition?

The dedicated Environments and Release Management module is a Nexus Pro capability. Basic still records a free-text environment name on runs.
